Harry Edward Styles - also known as Harry Styles - is a British musician as well as a composer. Harry Styles has been acknowledged as the composer for the One Direction band. He is the son of Des Styles (father) and Anne Cox, Harry Styles was born on January 1, 1994 in Holmes Chapel. Harry Styles studied at the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School in which he started his own musical band with 3 schoolmates, which was named White Eskimo. They won the Battle of Bands in 2009 due to their impressive performances. Although he has an interest in music the man also had a dream of becoming an attorney or the profession of physiotherapist. Working part-time in a local bakery was his first job in order to provide for his family. Harry Styles was selected for The X Factor 2010 audition during which he performed the Stevie Wonder's hit song Is not She Lovely. This meant that his group had to be split. Nicole Scherzinger proposed to Harry Styles that he join of a new band, One Direction. The other band members included Liam Payne Zayn Mallik Niall Horan Louis Tomlinson. Simon Cowell was the sponsor of the group that formed in 2010. They performed Kelly Clarkson's My Life Would be Sucking Without You as well as Bonnie Tyler Total Eclipse of the Heart. The consequence, they were one of the finalists. But they came in third place, just behind Rebecca Ferguson. Harry Styles did not receive an award, but Cowell made a deal worth 2 million pounds with One Direction in order for the group to be a part of Syco Records.
